It’s a topic that most men over the age of forty try to avoid discussing with their doctor, the topic of an enlarged prostate and what problems it can cause. First let’s get one thing straight, an enlarged prostate is more than an inconvenience of aging as a man, it’s a serious medical condition. That condition can cause the prostate to press down on the urethra which makes a man have to urinate more than normal. The enlarging of the prostate is sometimes referred to as benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH for short. BPH happens to almost every man after the age of forty and despite some beliefs does not increase a man’s chance for prostate cancer.The exact cause of BPH is not yet fully known, it has been shown that men that have their testicles removed earlier in their life do not develop BPH. Some of the more common symptoms are the inability to urinate, having a weak stream and having to go frequently, meaning at least two times or more at night.Some of the complications that can arise from BPH are an increased chance of developing kidney stones, urinary tract infections or UTI for short, and damage to the kidney’s themselves. It is important that if you experience any of these symptoms, you seek medical attention immediately, if you have less urine than you normally do, or you experience fever or chills. If you experience pain in your lower back or abdominal area, Or if you have blood or pus in your urine seek medical help. These are just a couple of the warning signs to keep an eye out for. There are many tests that your doctor can perform to help determine if you are suffering from BPH or not.Many men think that a diagnosis of BPH is a major blow, to the contrary in fact there are many treatment options out there that help in treat the symptoms associated with BPH. In fact many men still live a full active life and enjoy all the things they did before an enlarged prostate entered their life.

For a lot of men over the age of fifty the prospect of your prostate enlarging is almost inevitable. This small walnut sized gland sits just below the bladder and is part of the sex organs responsible for contributing towards semen production. The main problem with it, is that it wraps around the urethra, the tube leading from the bladder which is used to expel urine.

The prostate gland is slightly larger than a peanut and is located snug in between the urethra and the pubic bone. As the prostate grows, the bladder has to work more in order to push urine through the newly thinned urethra.

My prostrate is enlarged, and I cannot urinate enough. My bladder feels full and aches. After taking a dose of viagra it sees that I can urinate more freely. Is this possible?

Well see i was wondering if because i have my girlfriend um… “stimulate my prostate” and she sometimes can do it no so easy… and well if she does it to hard could it cause my prostate to swell.. The reason i am wondering is because i don’t last long in bed and if this is the reason why then ill stop doing that.

O and i havn’t always not lasted long in bed it’s just that i feel that this might be a cause of it happening… i guess though alls you could say is just stop doing that and see what happens but if i don’t have to then i don’t want to

I have read that excessive masturbation enlarges the prostate and causes hair loss. I am 21, i notice when i shower there are like 5-9 strands of hair shedding. any input?
