THAT CAN ANSWER THIS QUESTION FOR ME?….CAN AN OVER ENLARGED PROSTATE HAVE AN EFFECT ON COLON/RECTAL FUNCTIONING THAT MAY BE INDICATED BY FLATTENING OF THE STOOL? IS IT POSSIBLE FOR THE ENLARGED PROSTATE TO PRESS AGAINST THE RECTUM OR THE LOWER COLON AND BLOCK OR SQUEEZE THE RECTUM AND CAUSE THE STOOL TO BE FLATTER AND MAKE IT MORE DIFFICULT TO BE PASSED?

Dr. Samadi discusses in-office procedures for enlarged prostate, such as a microwave, in which a catheter burns the prostate in order to allow urination. Dr. Samadi believes it creates irritative symptoms, which are difficult to treat later on. Samadi talks about Transurethral Needle Ablation of the Prostate (TUNA), which uses needles to burn the prostate. Patients generally handle it well but if the prostate is enlarged, medications wont be successful. Samadi believes GreenLight Laser Therapy is the best in-office treatment because it is less invasive and does not require resection of the prostate. He also talked about Transurethral Resection Of The Prostate (TURP), which opens up the cavity for better urination.

Type of doctor needed?

my husband has bleeding caused by prostate problems. he has been told by hospital that his prostate is enlarged and he needs a cystoscopy. But he also has what seems to be a large tumor on his upper thigh (painless) and last year he had skin cancer removed on his face, now has a lump above his eyebrow. What would be the best type of doctor to see for all of these problems as we do not have health insurance? Thank You
Angela

I am 18 years old. In the doctor’s own words i have “a slightly enlarged prostate.” He put me on some antibiotics for about 10 days and also sent a urine sample to the lab. Got a call and everything appears to be fine. It is my understanding that there is also non bacterial prostatitis… Does anybody know what causes this? I fractured my penis at 13 which left me with scar tissue and peyronies (still untreated.) Could the plaque that built up from the scar be why i have prostatitis? I can think of no other reasonable cause other than that. I am very healthy.
And before anyone posts and says you can’t “fracture” your penis. Please read these:

I have noticed, especially recently, but definitely gradually over the years beginning with the incident nearly 5 1/2 years ago, that i have a less powerful stream of urine than i did before, i frequently go to the bathroom with small amounts
of urine. I also dribble after i pee. I realize my original question is mostly different than what I’m talking about. I tend to ramble a lot, but i believe there are two important questions in this mess of things.
Oh and I ask you to please be open about this. You may not agree that plaque in the penis shaft could be causing me to have prostatitis. But maybe my injury is somehow indirectly relate to what i have now? Just remember that one thing leads to another then another, and so on

I pee a lot. This is serious question btw?

I have to use the bathroom like 6 times a day. I’m a healthy 25 year old male. Do you think I need to get my prostate checked? I heard if its enlarged its causes your bladder to have less room, therefore having to go to the bathroom a lot.

Also I consume the same amount of liquid I always have so it isn’t like i’m drinking more.

As a man who is up there in years, how is his prostate? Is it enlarged? Does he need to take frequent bathroom breaks? Won’t that cause difficulties regarding a president’s full daily schedule?

Frequent urination in men?

i am 16 years old, male, and have frequent urination about every 30 minutes. I am not excessively thirsty or hungry. not very much comes out each time. I’m not sexually active and at a healthy weight and have a healthy diet. I don’t have to wake up to urinate and can sleep for 8 hours easily.
