i just came home from the vet.my dog had been (still is a little) vomiting and has diarrhea since this morning and he keeps trying to pee but nothing but drops come out.the vet said he has an enlarged prostate.that explains the peeing thing but i feel like he was too quick to diagnose him and i want to make sure it cant be anything else.he keeps cringing too and making this wheezy whine sound like he’s in pain.They gave him three different meds but he wont take them,and when i tried to put them in his throat it worked for a second then he vomited again.this is really stressing me out and i cant get a hold of my vet because he left for the day.any advice?

My pointer is 5 years old and has recently been to the vet because of not eating,weight loss,arched back and trouble walking and we were told that he had an enlarged prostate. The doctor squeezed the gland and put him on antibiotics and he showed great signs of improvement within the first couple of days and returned to normal heath thereafter. He was back to his normal self for two and a half months and just last night his health dropped dramatically. We let him out this morning and he had major trouble walking and as the day goes on he keeps getting worse. He cannot walk and he has not gone to the bathroom. He will eat with no problem. He does not cry\whimper or show any signs of being in any pain other than not walking. If anybody could please tell me what I can do for him until I can get him to the vet tomorrow?!?!?! Also if anybody has experienced anything like this please let me know what occured before, during and what the outcome was.
Before I ask this question let me start by answering the morons who are gonna give a stupid answer. No, I am not gay, I’m simply looking for some medical advice. Anyway, every now and again when I go to the washroom to take a piss I find it hard to aim. I usually I end up pissing all over the seat or something like that. Although this whole process is pain-free, it’s really inconvenient. Some guy in a movie said this might have something to do with an enlarged prostate but I find that impossible to believe seeing as I’m only 17 and prostatitis (the enlargement of the prostate gland) typically occurs in older men. So what is prompting this?
Having the experience of no release of sperm at point of ejaculation or orgasm? I am 45 year old male. Perhaps something to do with it? I have been diagnosed with an enlarged prostate, taking Flowmax to help it.

I take morphine large doses for chronic pain. I lately have had trouble with BMs. This is new. In past on same meds same level not the same problems.
First problem is constipation. If I forget to go 1-2 times per day I become impacted and the feces becomes very large. Very large. At worst times I’ve needed to help myself have a BM breaking up what I can so to make smaller to pass. I’ve looked for blood color etc there is none. If I remember to eat fruits stay away from bread and cerals I don’t have same problems and go normally.
My first concern is that enlarged prostate could be impeding BM is that possible? Second that due to multiple times of passing such large feces that I may have torn or stretched inner walls therefor this construction of large feces will only continuue if I fail to go 1-2 per day. My second concern is that my previously broken tail bone may be also impeding my bowel since it was broken upwards into me. Next blood pressure rising in efforts to pass these large feces.
What should I be concerned with as to tests to be ran. Is this a known condition? I’ve been checked for prostate cancer three times the result was negative.
Lastly, there seems to be seminal fluid coming from me I think it’s due to pressure of feces and it’s relation to it’s build up area and location of my prostate.
These are serious questions please refrain from the jokes. I’ve herd them all by now as well as written a few if my own so I doubt yours are more clever or funny.

I was going to use preparation h cream , but on the label it has a bunch of warnings like, do not use if you have difficulty urinating due to enlargement of the prostate. Well I have an enlarged prostate, is this stuff going cause it to get bigger?
It also says if you have thyroid problems or high blood pressure, which I have both. This stuff can mess with my thyroid ?
