a person faces problems in urination when there is enlargement in his prostate gland. when is aprostate is considered as enlarged.

My doctor told me that mine was very enlarged and growing into my bladder and giving me problems emptying my bladder. He wants to perform a TURP. Would laser surgery be better? Thanks.

My two hampsters has very enlarged bum areas. They are un neutered males, maybe its their prostates that are enlarge? There is also tiny black spots (closely grouped) on their bums. I’m worried they are in alot of pain and I am going to start looking for a better home for them soon but I want to make sure they are healthy first. Someone I know went in for checks after a bad urinary tract infection. They were sent for tests for bladder cancer and a bleeding growth was found in the bladder. They also checked his prostate, it didn’t hurt and they said it seemed very hard, but made no reference to irregularities or bumps.

A transurethral resection of the bladder was scheduled, and when they went in for the op, whatever the problem had been in the bladder was now gone, so it was written off as relating to the UTI.

For several hours now I have been getting increasing pain in my bladder area, I do have an Enlarged Prostate and am taking no meds at the moment, I am relieving myself normally just the pain is getting worse. I am a 46 year old Male.. Not sure how much longer I should let this go on.. Ideas??

then was peeing every 15-30 min..i still kept drink water and gatetorade..in 6 hrs i had 48 ozs of total fluids!! but durring the 6 hrs,,i peed only 2-4 ozs at a time..total in 8 hrs was 18 times..color tinge to clear..ive done this before but only more amounts of urine!! i had my labs checked 13 days ago..i had a yearly labs taking.. my 1 kidney is all i have..the creatine was 1.0 good..GFR greater than 59 good.. bun was good….the P.S.A. WAS GOOD AT 0.3… MY GPDOC SET A ULTRA SOUND UP OF THE PROSTATE TO SEE WHATS GOING ON THERE!! this friday i get that done..he did a rectal exam said it didnt feel enlarged but for a proper diagnosis i need it checked!! friday most of the day was like today,,but only in more time like 30-45 min i woud go but only 4 ozs at a time…oh the potassium was 4.3 good..sodium was at the high mark 145 reff range 136-145… ok why would i go so offten like this and like every 15 min..then at 6pm everything slowed down..i drank 12 ozs more and cearl only went 1 time at 6 ozs..i worry so much about electrolytes… so can you explain why this happens..and caffeine im aware of it making the bladder more active..thanks alot
no flank pain..do have lower back pain pretty much there!! put a chair together and pulled a muscle..
